This is mainly because they are proven method of teaching which brings a students into understanding on what he or she need to really concentrate. Other than that, I would be looking at the students preferred way of learning and I would teach the way they want it to. I normally would be liberal to my students. I have used this method of teaching for my previous students and I found out , they enjoy to study without any pressure on them. .
